Blaze just lies on his back, with me straddling him, looking up with what seems like the most adoring gaze. His heavy hands rest on my hipbones and he watches me have a mini freak out with that smile on his face. He just lets me vent. He listens though, really listens. And then doesnât berate me for it.
If it wasnât for the situation - if he wasnât a crazy prepper hillbilly, or whatever the hell it is heâs doing out here in the wilderness. If he hadnât made the choice to be living in a broken down isolated shack. If weâd met under normal circumstances, such as in the coffee shop, maybe there might have been a chance thatâ¦.. No, thatâs crazy, what am I talking about?
He snatched me. Right off the street.
Heâs nothing but a criminal type. Maybe not as bad as Jarke, but still. Thereâs no way I need to be involved with another one of those. And yet again Iâm forgetting the ban on intimate relations.
The heat in Blazeâs gaze is waiting for me. When I lift my eyes back to his, we remain frozen in place, him sprawled on his back with me straddling him, in a kind of lockdown.
It would be the easiest thing in the world to unzip him and maneuver my opening into position on his head. It would be easy to slide down the length of him until heâs buried deep inside me. I could sit up here on his solid pelvis, with his steel stretching my walls, while lightly rolling my hips until we both cry out.
Maybe the release of tension between us would free me from the intense hunger that threatens to devour me whenever heâs close to me.
This must be what they call animal attraction. His wild masculinity sets off something untamed in my spirit. I could enjoy myself on his length day and night and never get enough. Which is why I have to step up my guard.
His magnetism is both dangerous and forbidden. I need to keep my distance.
I roll off his body, being careful to unhook my thigh without giving him a free spectacle of my parted thighs. While I search around the floor for my underwear, the clothes I washed last night in the bathtub, Blaze gets to his feet and disappears.
I hear footsteps and turn to ask again whether heâll please please please bring me to town with him. I should at least get to choose my own clothes.
But it isnât Blaze approaching me this time. Itâs the cocky dude he shares this shack with. Iâd forgotten he was hanging around. So what does he want now?
âThereâs something I needâ¦â He begins.
Without waiting to hear what heâs got to say, I make a speedy exit around him, leaping away from the outstretched hand when he tries to stop me and go to look for Blaze. As long as Iâm close to him, the way too confident dude wonât interfere with me.
But I canât find Blaze in the makeshift living area.
